Report: Marner falls into the same old trap
Keystone Press

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is not performing at the level we were expecting him to do this season, especially after the good rookie season he had last year. The 20-year old forward, drafted fourth overall in 2015, has only scored two goals, and added 14 assists for 16 total points in 27 games played. At this pace, he would finish the season with a total of 48 points, 13 less than his point total of last season.

The Markham, Ontario native had a strong rookie season with the Leafs, as he scored 19 goals and added 42 assists for 61 points. He added four points in six playoff games against the Washington Capitals.

He does not have a point in his last five games, while playing around 16 minutes per night. The last time he scored a goal was on November 11th against the Boston Bruins. His other goal before this one? First game of the season. Yeah, it's that bad...

What do you think, Leafs fans? Are you worried about Marner's play this year?
