Insider Reports It Will Happen at Some Point Today

It is no secret now that the Minnesota Wild are looking to move on of their defenseman. Whether it’s not clear if it’ll be Scandella, Brodin or Dumba. One thing seems to be clear though: One of them could certainly be moved by the end of the day.

Bob McKenzie, TSN veteran NHL insider reported on 1260 that “Minnesota is going to move a defenseman, I believe, at some point here today.

The most interesting name for an NHL team among that list is certainly Brodin. Jonas Brodin played 331 games in the NHL. He scored 18 goals and registered 61 assists for a total of 79 points. The 6ft1, 194-pound defenseman is a former first round pick (10th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Back in 2011, he was considered by scouting report from The Hockey News as a supreme puck-moving defenseman with a projectable frame and defensive acumen. He can log plenty of minutes for his hockey club, in any situation, which adds to his overall value. He has the talent to become a talented puck-moving defenseman with a little upside.

However, few reports mentioned it was more likely the Wild will move Scandella. Among the team that showed some interest, Montreal GM Marc Bergevin has reportedly inquired for his services.
