With the Pittsburgh Penguins set to play the expansion Vegas Golden Knights for the first time in history, there’s an extra buzz around the team’s locker room the past couple days. Add in the fact that it’s also the first time the team will face off against former Penguins star goalie Marc-Andre Fleury and there’s an added element of intrigue.

When Pens goalie Matt Murray was activated off of the IR earlier this week, fans and analysts couldn’t help but look forward to tonight’s game as a potential Murray vs Fleury showdown. But… hold the phone, Pens coach Mike Sullivan isn’t quite ready yet to make the call on his starting goaltender for tonight’s contest.

Check out this report from Pens Inside Scoop yesterday afternoon:

No word yet from Vegas on whether it will be Murray or backup Tristan Jarry between the pipes, but a decision is expected from Sullivan after the team’s morning skate. Stay tuned, Pens fans. We may get Murray vs Fleury, after all.
