According to a report from The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta, nearly a dozen pro scouts took in last night’s game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames at the Air Canada Centre.

Because of this, the rumor mill is running wild today with speculation that the Leafs are gearing up to move one of their pending unrestricted free-agents.

Could Tyler Bozak, James van Riemsdyk or Leo Komarov be on their way out of Toronto before we know it? There certainly seems to be a fit with each of those teams, especially with the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings and Boston Bruins

Earlier this week TSN insider Bob McKenzie addressed the Leafs’ situation with Bozak, JVR and Komarov and got the sentiment that nothing is imminent. “I think they’re always open-minded to what might be out there, but the better the team does, the less likely  — in my mind – they’re going to trade one of their pending UFAs in Bozak, van Riemsdyk or Komarov,” said McKenzie.

Does last night’s development change things? At the very least it’s grist for the rumor mill. Stay tuned, Leafs fans.
