Report: NHL coach claims he has been robbed of his championship rings.

This is both an incredibly bizzare as well as an incredibly infuriating story from National Hockey League head coach Bruce Boudreau.

As one would imagine, Boudreau was forced to make a rather large move when he signed on to be the next head coach of the Minnesota Wild franchise, and as a result he hired a moving company to help him transfer his belongings from one location to another, and that's where everything went to hell.

Boudreau and his wife Crystal packed up their belongings into three moving trucks, only to learn upon their arrival that one of the moving trucks had been in an accident and flipped on the journey resulting in massive property damage, to both material belongings as well as more sentimental ones like family photos and albums. The real kicker however is the Boudreau's were only notified of the accident on the 13th of August, when the accident occurred on the 25th of July.

"Crystal's losing it because one-third of two houses is gone," Boudreau said as per Mike Russo of the Star Tribune. "We're basically getting half-broken furniture. We lost five big-screen TVs, a bubble hockey game, popcorn makers, tables. My wife used to run a business, they called her the Chocolate Lady. The chocolate fountain was destroyed. So much stuff, pictures, lots of pictures, all the frames destroyed.

That's not even close to being the most unbelievable part of this story however, according to Boudreau there was mold on the boxes he used to store their belongings, leading him to believe the company had stored their belongings outdoors during the massive delay. It gets even worse.

One of the items the moving company claims was destroyed in the accident? A safe that contained Boudreau's Memorial Cup Rings and documents such as birth certificates and more. Of course those items are irreplaceable and it's easy to understand the head coach's frustration, not to mention he brings up an excellent point.

"It's hard to destroy a safe," Boudreau said.

Well it turns out there is video evidence of Boudreau's safe being moved from one truck to another after the accident occurred, and now criminal charges are pending the decision of a prosecuting attorney.

Here's to hoping the people responsible are dealt with swiftly and harshly.
