Report: NHL GM comes to the defense of Bergevin!

More than 20 National Hockey League general managers met in Montreal this morning as several journalists expected heavy trade talks and speculations taking over. However, we were instead witnesses to an unexpected show of affection between two Eastern Conference rivals GMs.

While Montreal Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin took the stage to answer many questions concerning the Habs' humiliating loss to the Arizona Coyotes last night, GM Dale Tallon of the Florida Panthers came to his defense.

Bergevin, who admitted he did not sleep following last night's defeat, has been heavily criticized in Montreal for his actions, or lack thereof. Tallon had the perfect reply to the media.

Tallon even asked media and fans to be patient with the Habs GM.

Quite the scene at the GMs meeting, but surely what the Habs fans and Montreal media members needed to hear.
