Report: NHL insider suggests controversial change for star forward Drouin!
KeyStone Press

This ought to make a lot of Montreal Canadiens fans react. The Habs have lost the last three games this season, and have only been able to score four goals in all four contests.

Players, management and fans want to put an end to the offensive woes and NHL insider and former NHL player Aaron Ward offered a controversial solution on the air on TSN Montreal 690. Ward would prefer to see forward Jonathan Drouin, who has been used at the center of the top line, go back to the wing.

To accomplish those changes, Ward suggests that Philip Danault be used at the center of the first line with Max Pacioretty and Brendan Gallagher, and Drouin be placed on the wing of the second trio with Alex Galchenyuk front and center.

Pacioretty – Danault – Gallagher
Drouin – Galchenyuk – Lehkonen

Galchenyuk has been on the hot seat and heard his name in the rumor mill all summer long. It could be the change he needs to bounce back and get his coach's trust back.

What do you think about that? Is it time to bring Drouin back to his original spot or the Canadiens should give this experiment a little more time?

In four games this season, Drouin has recorded just one assist.
