Report: NHL team's season, already in jeopardy!

Some National Hockey League fans saw some good in forward Matt Duchene showing up at the Colorado Avalanche's training camp yesterday, but NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun disagrees.

Accrording to LeBrun who spoke on TSN, the Duchene saga is already putting the Avalanche's season is jeopardy. And with last year's disastrous outcome, they cannot afford a similar result. 

"It already is a distraction, you saw his teammates have to answer questions about this awkward situation and we know that Duchene doesn't want to be there, but the Avalanche is absolutely adamant they are not trading this guy until they get the deal they want," LeBrun commented.

"To me, the pressure now is on the Avalanche, because this has become a distraction on a young team that is trying to turn the page on a disastrous season last year, hard to turn the page when you are dealing with this kind of distraction early on, day one in camp."

Hopefully, GM Joe Sakic can find what he is looking for, and the Avalanche can move forward, and better than it did last season.
