Toronto Maple Leafs forward Patrick Marleau is one point shy of reaching a major milestone! He was credited with the game-winning goal against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night (the 103rd game-winning goal of his career), which was the 1,099th of his career. The next point he'll get will be his 1,100th in the NHL!

Marleau, 38, was drafted second overall by the San Jose Sharks in 1997. He played 19 seasons there, before he signed as a free agent with the Leafs last summer. In 1,520 games played in the NHL with the Sharks and the Leafs, he registered 1,099 points. He added 120 points in 177 playoff games.

So far this season, the Swift Current, Saskatchewan native has ten goals and seven assists for 17 points in 27 games played.

What do you think, Leafs fans? Is he going to the Hall of Fame?
