The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced a relatively minor signing, but it's one that will likely be well received by fans.

According to a report from the National Hockey League's official website, the Penguins have re-signed 23-year-old undrafted centerman Jean-Sebastien Dea to a one-year deal.

While Dea may not be a household name to fans around the league, he is well known to fans in Pittsburgh as one of head coach Mike Sulivan's "Black Aces," a group of young players in the American Hockey League who played a pivotal role in the Penguins back to back Stanley Cup Championships.

Dea will now earn $650,000 at the NHL level on this deal, it is however a two-way deal which likely means he will be spending a fair bit of time at the AHL level once again this season.

Dea played just one regular season games with the Penguins last season, the final game of the regular season in fact, and record no points and two penalty minutes in that game.
