Report: Pens make shocking lineup decision, trade to come?
Keystone Press

According to a report from Pittsburgh Penguins beat reporter Josh Yohe, it looks like forward Carl Hagelin will be a healthy scratch for tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers.

The veteran forward has just two points in 13 games for the Pens this season, but his overall play has been fairly stellar. Fans and analysts have speculated that head coach Mike Sullivan may be sending a message to his team by scratching the speedy 29-year-old winger, while others have speculated that a trade could be in the works.

Penguins GM Jim Rutherford has preached patience amongst his team’s fanbase as the team has sputtered to a 7-5-1 start on the season, but might he have a trick up his sleeve? The veteran GM has been known to make a move when fans least expect it, so keep a close eye on this rumor.

Look for enforcer Ryan Reaves to draw into the lineup ahead of Hagelin tonight in Edmonton.
