After signing his monster contract with the Nashville Predators, Ryan Johansen is ready to lead in Tennessee next season.

Flip Livingstone from The Score is reporting that both the Predators and Johansen have mutually agreed that is time for the 25 year old center to lead the squad to greatness these next upcoming years in Nashville. With the status of current captain Mike Fisher up in the air for next season, don't be surprised if Johansen is in the mix to wear the C. He truly believes that he could be the guy for that job.

"That's why I was brought here, to be a No. 1 center," Johansen said. "That was my motivation going into the playoffs and throughout the series and putting ourselves in a position to play in the playoffs." from The Score.

Johansen who spent some time on the sidelines with an injury last season believes that Nashville is the perfect destination for him these next 8 years.

"This is where I belong. This is where I want to play. There's no better staff, management, team, group of guys, friends, place to live, city, fans, there's a whole list. There's no better place to be right now."
