Report: Preds player does not practice, spotted in a walking boot.

The Nashville Predators just simply can not catch a break on the injury front. 

The Predators day at first looked like it was going to be the first positive day in a little while when it comes to injuries but, although the team did receive some good news initially, that was quickly derailed by more bad news that quickly followed. I'll start with the good news so as to make this as least depressing as possible for the Predators fans and fantasy owners reading this. 

First on Monday morning Predators insider Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reported that veteran forward Kyle Turris was back out on the ice at practice, marking the first time that he has either played or participated in practice since he suffered an injury all the way back on November 23rd. This is obviously a very good sign for the Predators although even that was tempered by the fact that Turris was wearing a no contact jersey during his time on the ice which indicates that he's probably still a fair ways off from returning to the ice.

The bad news really started when it was revealed that start defenseman P.K. Subban was nowhere to bee seen during practice in spite of the fact that it looked like he would be close to a return based on some of his activity on social media. The fact that he was completely absent from practice is obviously not a good sign but there was no further update provided on his status, at least not as of yet.

The real bad news however came courtesy of Paul Skrbina of The Tennessean who revealed what looks very much like a significant injury to Predators forward Austin Watson. Like Subban, Watson was missing from practice on Monday however he was spotted in the building. Unfortunately according to Skrbina's report he was spotted walking out of the building with a walking boot strapped around his left foot, and obviously this points to some form of injury with Watson's left leg, foot, or possibly his ankle. 

It's hard to speculate on what may be the nature of his injury as this report from Skrbina is all we have to go on at this time, but it's obviously not ideal.
