Report: Rangers not done trading yet

In case you missed it, the Winnipeg Jets traded defenseman Jacob Trouba to the New York Rangers last night in exchange for Neal Pionk and the 20th overall in this week’s 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

It was a trade that shocked the hockey world, despite the fact that Trouba’s name has been floated on the trade market for… well for years now, actually. The Rangers are expected to be aggressive this offseason as GM Jeff Gorton has PLENTY of cap space and a ton of picks to deal, should he want to go down the trade route.

And according to NHL insider Darren Dreger of TSN, the Rangers are expected to put forward Chris Kreider, Jimmy Vesey, Vladislav Namestnikov and Pavel Buchnevich in play.

Expect the Rangers to surface in just about every trade rumor at the draft this weekend.
