The Red Wings have one of the most well respected organizations in all of hockey, so it should come as no surprise when other teams attempt to poach members of their organization. Not surprising, but perhaps a little annoying.

According to a report to from Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman the Ottawa Senators are considering the possibility of doing just that, stating that multiple sources have told him that Todd Nelson is being viewed as a potential replacement behind the Senators bench.

"I've had a couple of people tell me Todd Nelson is going to be in middle of this," said Friedman.

For those who don't know, Nelson is currently coaching the Grand Rapids Griffins, the Red Wings American Hockey League affiliate, and his departure would mark the second such departure for the Red Wings organization who lost Mike Babcock to the Maple Leafs at the end of last season.

There are also other names being rumored for the job, including for Minnesota Wild head coach Mike Yeo, so at this time it's still unclear how likely Nelson is to be offered the job.
