The Detroit Red Wings seemed to specifically have a solid crop of prospects coming from one junior league. Three Wings prospects are having amazing starts to their seasons in the Western Hockey League.

One of the most highly touted prospects for the Wings is Michael Rasmussen. The 9th overlal pick from the 2017 NHL draft has 12 points in 10 games so far with the Tri-City Americans.

Dennis Cholowski is another first round pick for the Wings who is starting strong with the WHL with the Prince George Cougars. 11 points in 11 games. There is also Lane Zablocki who has 9 points in 13 games with the Red Deer Rebels. It is interesting to see that the top prospects are currently playing in the same league.
