The Detroit Red Wings have announced their decision to bring back 36 year old veteran forward Daniel Cleary for one more season.

The team made the official announcement via their website stating they have come to terms a one year deal, the Red Wings did not disclose the financials. We have since learned that Cleary's deal is worth just under $1 million dollars and it's a one way deal.

Cleary appeared in just 17 games for the Red Wings last season recording a single goal and a single assist in that time. He was also often the subject of criticism from the fan base, it will be interesting to gauge fan reaction to this signing.
