Could he become an option for the Penguins along the way?

Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Ryan Haggerty is doing pretty well so far this season in the AHL! The 24-year old forward has registered 13 points in 12 games played this year with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Last season, he had 23 points in 58 games. That's quite an improvement production wise!

The Stamford, Connecticut native was never drafted in the NHL. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Rangers in 2014, after he played three seasons with the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NCAA).

He played 201 games in the AHL with the Rangers, Chicago Blackhawks and the Penguins organizations, registering 88 points (regular season and playoffs included).

The 6'0", 200 pounds forward hasn't play a game in the NHL yet.

What do you think, Pens fans? Could he get a chance to play in the NHL this season?
