From off a conditioning stint with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, winger Anton Slephyshev should be in the lineup for the Edmonton Oilers as they host the visiting Winnipeg Jets tomorrow evening.

Slepyshev’s California visit was a short one, getting in just one game with the Condors before being recalled by the Oilers. In 9 games with the team last season however, the 23-year-old Russian sniper put up an astounding 10 points. With the Oilers we put up a respectable four goals and 10 points in 41 games.

Look for the former 3rd round pick to build on those numbers this season, as the Oilers may look to put him in more offensive scenarios that in past season. 15 goals and 30 points? Not out of the realm of possibility. Let’s see what this kid can do.
