While Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews has been sidelined with a back injury with no exact timeline set for his return, head coach Joel Quenneville's troops will have to do without another one of their most important leaders on the team.

Veteran defenseman and two-time Stanley Cup winner Brent Seabrook has been added to the Blackhawks' list of injuries, and he is expected to miss tonight's game against the New York Rangers:

Seabrook injured his upper body on Tuesday night against the Arizona Coyotes and did not return to the game. While Quenneville has declared the 31-year-old's status as "day-to-day," the severity of his injury remains unclear and there is no precise timeline regarding his return.

Through 28 games played, both the Rangers and the Blackhawks are tied with 37 points, while Seabrook has two goals and 16 points.
