REPORT: The Blackhawks Greatest Weakness
Keystone Press

The Chicago Blackhawks don't usually have many weaknesses considering they have some of the best forwards, defensemen and goalies the league could possibly ask for.

Usually the Blackhawks are on point when it comes time to taking down the penalty kill by ruining their opponent’s momentum and turning it back against them. This was the case for previous seasons as the Blackhawks often made the top 10 for penalty kill percentage.

This season however it seems to be their greatest weakness as they have only killed 9 out of 21 of penalty kills, giving them a 42.9% success rate.  This means that if they are caught on the PK which they often have found themselves this season the odds of them being scored on are higher than not.

Fortunately, they will be facing the Calgary Flames tonight who have the leagues worst power play with 1 out of 25 this season. Hopefully this will help balance out the odds during tonight's match-up while the Blackhawks also try to avoid giving penalties and killing them off quick when they come up.

Watch tonight as the Chicago Blackhawks clash against the Calgary Flames at the United Center at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
