Report: Troubling signs for the Senators after big Game 6 win

That's a high price to pay for a win.

It’s been said over and over and over again: Erik Karlsson IS the Ottawa Senators. The superstar defenseman is not only the team’s captain, but also their best player and the driving force of both its offense and defense. That’s why, you’d have to be awfully concerned about his status if reports following tonight’s game 6 series victory over the New York Rangers are to be believed.

NHL on NBC reported that Karlsson was seen walking with a limp immediately following the game. Now remember, this is the same super human being who played against the Boston Bruins with two hairline fractures in his heel. So, maybe Erik Karlsson isn’t a mutant superhero after all? Maybe he’s a regular human being just like the rest of us?

One thing’s for sure, Senators fans are happy that the team got the job done in six against the Rangers. Now, they can sit back for an extra two days and heal their injuries, let’s just hope that the delay is long enough for Karlsson to get himself back to full health.
