Report: Two Leaf forwards expected to miss multiple games before the holidays.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are currently dealing with multiple injuries up front.

It now seems likely that both center Tyler Bozak and center Ben Smith will miss the Leafs' final two games before the holiday break, leaving the Leafs with a big hole to fill in the middle of their line up.

While there has not been an official announcement in this regard, the comment from head coach Mike Babcock made it pretty clear that neither man will be available.

“I don’t know the answer 100%,” Babcock said as per the Toronto Sun's Terry Koshan.

“I assume they are (out) because they did not practise today. We will know more tomorrow. I don’t even know if they are coming on the trip. I didn’t ask. I didn’t have the courage to ask.”

There is a small silver lining here, if your players do have to get injured during the regular season, before the holiday break is as good a time as any as they will now get a few extra days to recover.
