It sounds like Dallas Stars superstar Tyler Seguin might be one of the many top National Hockey League players to miss playoff games due to an injury.

Seguin has been out of the line up since mid March when he suffered a partial laceration of his Achilles, and now it appears there's at least a possibility he won't be ready when the post-season begins. Head coach Lindy Ruff spoke to Stars reporter Mark Stepneski about the status of his dynamic forward:

"He's skating. He's skating in limited fashion, I would say somewhere between the 50 and 75 percent range. There are times he pushes it but we're tying to be a little cautious with that, too. He's progressing nicely and we just hope to keep on progressing here."

When Stepneski asked Ruff point blank if Seguin being ready in time for Game 1 was realistic, he didn't have an answer.

"I don't know. It's too early for me to even comment whether it is or not."
