According to an unsubstantiated report based on an initiative by former NHLer Josh Gratton, the UFC is set to host a hockey fight tournament sometime in 2021.

Details below

Format:Two 45 second rounds.
Divisions determined by weight and age group.
Standard hockey fight rules except players will wear UFC MMA gloves. Players will not be allowed to sell sponsorships on clothing or equipment.
Judges:Three former hockey players / fighters will be used to select each fight winner.

More info from Gratton himself:

Former NHL tough guy Cam Janssens has already inquired about judging!

As an old school lover of hockey fights, I really hope this thing sees the light of day... but I'm not holding my breath to be honest.
