Veteran defenseman and current unrestricted free-agent Chris Lee will have a lot of thinking to do over the next couple of months. Lee, who has spent most of his hockey career in Europe, came up big for Team Canada at the World Hockey Championships this spring when the powerhouse team needed him most. The 37-year-old Lee received an emergency call-up after Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie injured himself wrestling another teammate.

The Hockey News is now reporting that several teams are interest in signing Chris Lee to an NHL contract. This would be a dream come true and a storybook come to life tale for Lee, but meanwhile another intriguing, but opposing options remains: The Olympics. Because there will be no NHL players represented at the Olympics, Lee could become a big part of Team Canada's blue line at the Winter games. Will he be willing to turn his back on the NHL after years of waiting and hoping for his ship to come in? It's not exactly a dilemma, but it'll be a tough choice regardless.
