As the Detroit Red Wings ready themselves to host the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow evening, the team has taken to the ice and is practicing after a very successful back-to-back on Friday and Saturday night. The team defeated a Western Conference powerhouse in the Nashville Predators and shut out last season’s Stanley Cup runner-ups San Jose Sharks, marking their fourth win in a row.
As it stands, there is reportedly no real progress in the case of veterans Justin Abdelkader and defenseman Niklas Kronwall. General manager Ken Holland publicly said that Abdelkader should be good to go for tomorrow night’s game, although he has not taken to the ice today.
Kronwall, who had been skating regularly in practice until now, has also not taken part in the team’s training session.
