The Minnesota Wild have dealt with a bevy of injury updates that mainly read: Such and such player is out for the next game, for several weeks, or indefinitely.

Well finally, Bruce Boudreau offered a nugget of injury info that fans will be pleased to hear.

Nino Niederreiter, after suffering a high-ankle sprain against the Chicago Blackhawks over two weeks ago. He had since been placed on injured reserve, but looks like he may finally make his return to the lineup.

The original announcement had him out at least three weeks, so his early return is definitely welcome. The 3-3-2 Wild are in desperate need of healthy forwards - coming off a 6-4 win against the New York Islanders, it's crucial for this team to get some momentum and string together some wins.

Niederreiter has 0 points through 3 games, but his previous season saw him breakout with 25 goals and 57 points.

We'll have an update on the game-time decision later in the day.

Stay tuned.
