Report: Wild reportedly receiving offers for several players.

While there are a number of high end defensemen reportedly available for the taking, it's not every team that can commit to a massive trade or offer a huge money deal to a free agent.

With that in mind today's report from TSN insider Bob McKenzie makes a great deal of sense. McKenzie has claimed that the Minnesota Wild are currently field offers for some of their young defensemen. Surprisingly the Wild are hoping to trade defense in order to obtain a forward that will help them improve of the offensive side of the ice.

McKenzie did not name names, but there have been rumors for some time of the Wild potentially shopping defenseman Matt Dumba, and if we had to speculate the soon to be restricted free agent is a likely target. The Wild could potentially also look to move Marco Scandella who comes with a similar level of control for opposing teams who are willing to take on his long term deal.
