The Minnesota Wild made some significant changes to their roster on Monday.

According to a report from Wild insider Mike Russo of the Star Tribune, the Wild made two big decisions in regards to their blue line, both re-signing one of their young defensemen, while seemingly parting ways with another.

First, Russo reports that the Wild have agreed to terms on two-year-deal with 22-year-old defenseman Gustav Olofsson, a deal that carries an average annual value of $725,00.

Olofsson has played just 15 games at the National Hockey League level with the Wild, but had a respectable performance this past regular season when he was called upon, appearing in 13 of those 15 career games, recording three points and a plus minus rating of -1.

Important to note, according to Russo this is a one-way deal, making it likely that Gustav Olofsson is a name Wild fans will be seeing much more next season.

The Wild have also seemingly moved on from defenseman Christian Folin, according to Russo the Wild will not offer Folin a one-way contract and as a result he is expected to test the free-agent market.

Folin was a staple of the Wild blue line this past season, appearing in 51 games, recording 2 goals and 6 assist,s and put up a plus minus rating of +10 over that stretch.
