Team seem to disagree with his demands

Earlier in June, The Minnesota Wild have announced that they’ve tendered qualifying offers to eight players, including Mikael Granlund and Nino Neiderreiter.  A qualifying offer simply designates these players as restricted free-agents come July 1st, rather than unrestricted free-agents. It does not, however, mean that Fletcher’s work is done when it comes to the dynamic duo… far from it, actually.

Apparently according to Michael Russo (Wild insider) for the Star Tribune, Nino Niederreiter filed for arbitration. It's quite a turnover as the same Michael Russo reported on June 28th that the negotiations still have not started between the Minnesota Wild & RFA's Mikael Granlund & Nino Niederreiter.

Niederreiter, 24, scored a career-high 25 goals and 57 points last season, his third straight year hitting the 20-goal plateau.

Things escalated quickly, no?
