It certainly sounds like the opportunity for Thornton is there to continue his career with the Sharks and wouldn't it be the perfect ending to a stellar career? After all, Patrick Marleau returned to the Sharks for his final campaign after a short sojourn with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins. Will Thornton follow in his good friend's footsteps?
