A highly respected and well liked National Hockey League veteran is back in the NHL.

According to an official report from the Montreal Canadien's website has revealed that the Canadiens have brought in veteran goaltender Sean Burke, who by all accounts was an excellent goaltending coach during his time in Arizona. However that won't be the role he will be fufilling in Montreal, he will be taking on a new challenge.

From the Canadiens official announcement:

Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced Thursday the appointment of Sean Burke as professional scout for the western region.

Burke is a veteran of over 800 games, and it seems likely that given his position as a goaltender for so many years, he's had plenty of time to watch and evaluate talent on the ice, it remains to be seen how well he can translate that to the press box, but we're sure he will be great.

We wish Burke nothing but the best in this chapter of his NHL career.
