Over the weekend Allan Walsh, the agent that represents Las Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Marc Andre Fleury, created a major controversy when he published a picture on social media. The picture, a graphic photoshop of Marc Andre Fleury being impaled through the back by a giant claymore with the name of head coach Peter DeBoer scrawled across it, sent a clear message to the Golden Knights and to DeBoer and in my opinion it was a message entirely endorsed by Marc Andre Fleury.

Despite his image as one of hockey's nice guys, Fleury flat out refused to address any questions regarding his knowledge of the tweet when speaking to the media. He was asked on two different occasions if he had knowledge of the picture before it was made public by Walsh and both times Fleury dodged the question, something that tells me everything I need to know. Despite that however his teammates, at least for now, have stood by him and the latest to do so is the other man who played a role in this controversy, Golden Knights #1 goaltender Robin Lehner.

Lehner, who took the starting job from Fleury by outperforming him between the pipes, spoke to the media for the first time following the tweet from Walsh and to his credit he made no attempt to take any shots at Fleury himself. Lehner gave the politically correct answer when it came to his views on Fleury, quite possibly wanting to squash the drama and put the team first, but he did not offer the same courtesy to the aforementioned Allan Walsh. There was no mistaking the tone of Lehner's comments, he made it clear that he feels Walsh should be embarrassed for making himself and his client look so bad.

"(Fleury) didn't do anything," said Lehner as per Golden Knights insider Jesse Granger. It was his agent. If he wants to look unprofessional, go ahead. He looks terrible."

As you would expect Lehner fans are absolutely loving these comments from their goaltender and the response on social media to hsi statement has been almost universally positive. Let us know what you think in the comments below but here are a few reactions to the comments so far:
