The Dallas Stars may have lost one of their young forwards.

Stars forward Roope Hintz went into the Stars locker room during the game's first period and at the time I honestly did not think much of it as Hintz did not appear to suffer any type of injury on the ice. However Hintz would not return after the start of the second period and there is now concern that the 23 year old forward has in fact been injured.

Hintz was involved in a bit of a pile up during the first period when several players fell in the corner together, and it was during his own fall that Hintz's head appeared to collide with the body of Stars teammate Corey Perry. It did not look like much of a collision but Hintz was definitely feeling the ill effects of the contact, although what type of injury he may have suffered here on the play is a mystery.

Whatever it may be the good news for the Stars here is that it does not sound like it will be of a serious nature. The Stars have listed Hintz as "questionable" to return for this game, which signals to me that this is a relatively minor ailment.
