The Detroit Red Wings called up a player

The Detroit Red Wings organization announced they recalled a defenseman from the Grand Rapids.

The Detroit Red Wings have recalled Brian Lashoff to add up some depth to their defensive squad as they only have 6 defensemen available.

Brian Lashoff, 26-year-old, is 6ft3, 221 pounds. In 47 games with the Grand Rapids this year he scored 3 goals and registered 7 assists for a total of 10 points. Lashoff already played 5 games this season with the Wings.

Assistant general manager Ryan Martin said Lashoff will be available tonight in Arizona if someone else is unable to play. If Lashoff doesn’t play tonight, Martin said he will be sent back to the Griffins.
