This appears to signal the end.

Rumor: Bobrovsky appears to confirm that he is done in Columbus.

There have long been reports to suggest that Sergei Bobrovbsky and the Columbus Blue Jackets are headed for what will not be an amicable split when his contract finally expires and he becomes an unrestricted free agent on the 1st of July. In spite of that however there has been no official comment in that regard from either Bobrovsky or the Blue Jackets thus far and in fact we may never get one.

Just because neither the Blue Jackets or Bobrovsky are currently talking at this time does not mean that there are not signs that this split will in fact be happening this summer however. Just yesterday a video appeared on Youtube showcasing a rather stunning condo from the downtown Columbus area that had suddenly been put up for sale. Now this on its own would mean absolutely nothing but Columbus Blue Jackets insider Aaron Portzline has now been able to confirm that this condo does indeed belong to one Sergei Bobrovsky and that it is being sold for just under $3 million.

You can have a look at the video mentioned above and see the stylish luxury that Bobrovsky was living in during his time with the Blue Jackets.

Now when you look back at the rumored turmoil between Bobrovsky and Columbus Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen it seems extremely unlikely that this is now just simply a coincidence. I mean producing a video of this nature takes a little bit of time and in spite of that Bobrovsky's condo has been put up for sale seemingly only moments after the Blue Jackets have been eliminated from the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. This sends a clear message to me and, although this has to be qualified as pure speculation or rumor at this time, that message is that Sergei Bobrovsky has absolutely no intention of ever coming back to Columbus as anything other than an opponent.

There can be no clearer indication that veteran goaltender wants out of town and with the rumors that the Florida Panthers are preparing to make him a big offer this summer, one that would come with the added bonus of no state tax, it seems unlikely that the Blue Jackets will have any ways to lure him back.
