The Boston Bruins have had several bad surprises at the start of the 2017-18 season, and one of them is not injury-related. Bruins winger Matt Beleskey is already struggling six games in and has been a healthy scratch in two of the last three contests.

Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports that the 29-year-old's offensive struggles might push him out of Boston. Beleskey is currently pointless in six games. Shinzawa adds that Bruins GM Don Sweeney will try to move the forward, but it won't be easy to complete a trade.

Beleskey carries a $3.8 million cap hit through 2019-20, along with a modified no-trade clause. Sweeney could have to include more in the package, such as a draft pick or a prospect, and should even expect a bad contract in return from an interested club.

The former 112th overall pick of the Anaheim Ducks in 2006 had a good several back in 2014-15 when he recorded 22 regular-season goals and eight postseason goals during a contract year. Now, he seems to have lost that touch.

Maybe all he needs is a change of scenery to get his offensive juices going. Would you want your favorite team to pull the trigger on a deal and give Beleskey a second chance?
