Just a few short months after acquiring defenseman Erik Gudbranson from the Florida Panthers it appears the Vancouver Canucks now feel they are in a position where they can swap defense for offense.

TSN hockey insider Bob McKenzie was a guest on TSN's 1040 radio in Vancouver today when he was asked about the Canucks direction at the deadline, and McKenzie feels the Canucks could be looking to move a young defenseman like Ben Hutton.

The 23-year-old Hutton is playing in his second National Hockey League season with the Canucks since being drafted in the fifth round(147th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and has 4 goals and 11 assists in 49 games on season.

It's unclear who might be interested in acquiring Hutton at this time, and therefore it's difficult to gauge the kind of return the Canucks are hoping for.
