The Nashville Predators are looking to improve their scoring boost and are having a look at the trade market for a forward, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, who wrote about it Wednesday in his 31 Thoughts

While it is not known if the Preds are seeking a centreman or a scorer, they face one big issue in trying to accomplish a deal on the market. Nashville prefers not to take away from their NHL roster.

However, GM David Poile, who has never been scared of pulling a blockbuster move (we can't forget the P.K. Subban/Shea Weber trade, can we?), is all in to get a hold of a forward, and rival teams are starting to wonder if they can nab their most recent first round pick.

Eeli Tolvanen, the Predators' 2017 first-rounder, is currently lighting up the KHL with Jokerit, recording 10 goals in the first 14 games this season. The 18-year-old could become quite the bargaining chip for Nashville, and rival clubs will want to acquire his services.

Stay tuned!
