The Calgary Flames have been extremely busy during the offseason, having already completed a huge trade for defenseman Travis Hamonic with the New York Islanders, but they may not be done just yet.

While reporting on a potential connection between the Los Angeles Kings and veteran National Hockey League star Joe Thornton, The Fourth Period's Dennis Bernstein dropped a very interesting little tidbit about the Calgary Flames.

While stating that the Kings did not have similar interest in Thornton's former teammate Patrick Marleau, Bernstein also revealed that the Calgary Flames are "strong on him."

Marleau's talent is undeniable even at 37 years of age, he put up 27 goals and 19 assists for 46 points in 82 games with the Sharks last season, and that kind of production can not be underestimated.

His addition to the Flames roster, along with the addition of Hamonic and goaltender Mike Smith this summer would greatly bolster the Calgary line up.
