Insider reports one NHL head coach’s day are numbered.
Tom Rowe took off the head coach jobs in Florida right after Gerard Gallant’s been relieved from his duty earlier this year. It’s been a tough year for the Florida Panthers and their interim head coach.
Earlier this season, Rowe called out his top line and legend saying Jaromir Jagr needs to give him more as the Florida Panthers lost 5 out of their last 6 games.
At that time, Tom Rowe added that he was quite surprised Jaromir Jagr took the optional skate off before Rangers game. Again, it might be normal for a 45-year-old player to take some rest before important games.
As reported by George Richards of the Miami Herald “It has become clear, Rowe’s days as interim head coach of the Panthers are numbered.”
Richards added that “The Panthers have officially said they will discuss the situation once this season comes to a close on Sunday night but on Monday, numerous sources told the Miami Herald Rowe would not return behind the bench.”
Earlier this season, Tom Rowe said he would be interested in keeping the Florida Panthers coaching job even though what happens with the team this year.
