Insider reports UFA veteran Goalie will sign with the enemy.
Eric Francis, HNIC-turned-Sportsnet analyst, Calgary Sun/Herald & Sportsnet.ca columnist, wrote an interesting paper last week
Francis reported that the Brian Elliott era was over in Calgary so as the Flames’ season. During the Anaheim Ducks decisive game, head coach Glen Gulutzan replaced Elliott with Chad Johnson after Elliott allowed only one goal after facing three shots.
Today, Gary Lawless, TSN senior correspondent and co-host of Hustler & Lawless weeknights, suggested that Brian Eliott could sign a new contract next year with the enemy team: The Winnipeg Jets.
As Craig Custance, senior writer for ESPN, ESPN NHL Insider, asked openly on twitter, “Who will start opening night in goal for the Jets next season?” Lawless answered: “Brian Elliot”
