Head Coach Gambling His Job as He Benched His Best Player
When the Buffalo Sabres picked up Jack Eichel as their first round pick in the 2016 NHL entry draft the city suddenly found back their hope on the team. Remember at that time many insiders were considering Eichel was in front on McDavid to be the number 1 overall draft pick. Finally McDavid was first and Eichel was second.
Last night, the Buffalo Sabres lost 4-1 against the San Jose Sharks. The Sabres head coach took a decision that seemed pretty surprising as he decided to bench his star player Jack Eichel. Eichel played only 14 minutes during the whole game which is not enough for a player like him.
It was 4th defeat in 5 games for the Sabres and by acting like he did last night, Dan Bylsma is probably gambling his job right now.
