According to a report from Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy, things are heating up in the Atlantic Division when it comes to trade talk.

Murphy reports that the Bruins, Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs have all expressed interest in New Jersey Devils forward Brian Boyle. The 34 year old Boyle is a pending UFA on a Devils team that looks to be outside the playoff picture and, as a result, it seems likely that he’ll be shipped out as playoff rental.

The big man has 13 goals and 19 points in 46 games for the Devils this season and is a solid, 3rd or 4th line shutdown center. He’s 6 foot, 6 inches, 245 pounds and has played a heavy game for over a decade. He’s a proven leader and he should generate some serious interest at the deadline.

The Leafs, of course, acquired Boyle at the 2017 trade deadline as a rental player, before Boyle ultimately signed a two year deal with the Devils in free agency.
