The rumors surrounding Colorado Avalanche star forward Matt Duchene have been picking up steam once again after his strong start to the season with 2 goals and 3 assists in his first four games, and now it appears one NHL tram has made a serious offer for his services.

According to comments from National Hockey League analyst Pierre Mcguire, the Nashville Predators have tabled a significant offer for the star center, one that may involve a third team in some capacity.

“What’s interesting is I spoke to a management team three days ago, and they definitely want to be a player," said McGuire as per Fanrag's Chris Nichols. "I know they’ve already made an offer on Duchene. I just don’t know what the offer is, but they said it was substantial so I believe them. But they’re trying to figure it out because it looks like it would have to involve another team."

McGuire believes that the retirement of former Nashville Predators Mike Fisher has Predators general manager David Poile searching for a new center, and he believes that Duchene is the primary target.

Now we are left to wonder how much the Predators have put on the table, and who the third team involved in this deal may be.
