Rumor Mill: Avalanche considering former star netminding as coach.

Joe Sakic has already interviewed him.

An NHL team fired almost its entire coaching staff earlier on Tuesday. After a terrible season where the legendary National Hockey League, goaltender Patrick Roy shocked the world when he quit his position as head coach of the Colorado Avalanche we knew some other changes were coming.

On Tuesday the Avalanche coaches Francois Allaire, Tim Army and Dave Farrish were relieved from their duty. Allaire was the goaltender coach, Army was an assistant coach and Farrish was also an assistant coach

Michael Russo, Minnesota Wild insider for The Star Tribune tweeted yesterday: “Sources say Dwayne Roloson has already interviewed with Joe Sakic for the #avs goalie coach opening.”

Roloson played 606 career NHL games spending time with the Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
