Rumor: NHL head coach will be fired tomorrow.

There is a nasty rumor floating around the National Hockey League, and it is now credible enough that it must be addressed.

Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy of WEEI Sports is reporting that numerous sources have informed him that that regardless of the outcome of the match up between the Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night, the Bruins will publicly address their coaching situation on Saturday.

This has led to widespread speculation that head coach Claude Julien will be fired over the week-end and it's hard to blame those jumping to conclusions. Rumors of conflict between Julien and Bruins upper management have been around for some time and the talk of him on the hot seat had already picked up in recent weeks.

Despite that, it has to be said that the sources only said the matter would be addressed, we could very well see a scenario where Bruins management come out in support of Julien tomorrow.
