It sounds like the early struggles of the New York Rangers may result in some drastic changes being made within that organization, and it sounds like no one will be safe.

TSN insider Bob McKenzie is reporting that there are now some "severe questions" being asked about the Rangers struggles early on in this season, and furthermore that "management is looking at it."

While that is not necessarily a huge surprise given how the Rangers have started the season in one of hockey's biggest markets, what does come as a shocker is the fact that head coach Alain Vigneault may end up on the hot seat.

That being said, it's clear that McKenzie believes that general manager Jeff Gorton will try to execute a trade before he makes any changes to his coaching personnel.

"I would suggest a trade would happen before the coach would be in the hot seat," said McKenzie as per Fanrag's Chris Nichols.

Whether or not Gorton is able to pull off a trade will be very interesting moving forward as Vigneault remains one of the most well-respected coaches in the entire league. Should he be fired by the Rangers it would not be surprising to see a frenzy of interest in acquiring him. In fact we could even envision a scenario where we see another mid-season coach firing and hiring like we did with Michel Therrien and Claude Julien in Montreal last season.

What change would you make to turn the Rangers season around?
