Rumor: NHLer played with broken ribs in Game 7.

The Pittsburgh Penguins won an incredibly tight Game 7 over the Ottawa Senators in the Eastern Conference Final, but one of their players put on a truly heroic effort.

While there has not been official confirmation of this as of yet, Sportsnet insider John Shannon is reporting that he has heard defenseman Justin Schultz played through Game 7 with broken ribs. 

While that would already be an incredible feat entirely on it's own, the fact that he continued to play as the game went to double overtime is absolutely mind-blowing. 

The question now becomes, how will this impact him heading into the Stanley Cup Final.
